Keith and Lynda Young; residents and veteran restaurateurs in Madisonville, have opened Crabby Shack & Po-boys to continue the custom of the affordable, neighborhood restaurant in the New Orleans-style on the Northshore. Following a 6 month renovation, Crabby Shack opened February 20, 2013 with an open floor plan that allows for ample seating and a bar area to enjoy a cocktail or a beer; and to accommodate solo diners and to-go orders. Lynda oversaw the decor which features stucco with inset tiles of New Orleans recipes; local memorabilia and art; and paint and wood finishes that add to a local nautical feel. Look for the image of Lynda’s grandparents; which is inset in the bar along with other family waterside photos, from which Lynda pulled her inspiration. Crabby Shack features fresh Louisiana seafood dishes and New Orleans neighborhood favorites served in a friendly, casual atmosphere. The menu boasts Raw Oysters served on the Half-Shell, Shrimp Rémoulade, Seafood Gumbo, Steaming Hot Boiled Seafood; Fried Seafood Baskets, Po-Boy Sandwiches, Salads and more.
